Qualifiers: October 7th - 29th
Finals: October 30th (invites go out 10/29 after 5pm)

• Upon registration, competitors will self categorize into M/NB or F/NB Recreational (G/Y), Intermediate (O/R), Advanced (R/P), or Open (P/B).

• See how many routes you can redpoint on each new set!

• Keep track of your progress on scorecards kept in the gym, accessible 24/7. No witness required; we trust ya!

• Routes will be labeled on each new set starting on 10/7, the route number is how many points it is worth.

• There is no flash bonus, flash are only used for tie-breakers.

• On October 29th, everyone’s scorecards will be added up, and the 4 participants with the highest scores in each category will be invited to Finals on October 30th.

• The gym will be closed to members and nonmembers on 10/30 to set and prep for Finals - we’ll open at 6pm!

The top 4 competitors in each category will be invited to compete in Finals, but spectators are more than welcome!

The gym will be closed to prepare… because Finals will be a Blacklight Competition! Expect spooky decorations, lots of neon, and please please please come in costume!

What is a redpoint?
Climbing from the start to the finish in a single attempt.

How do I start a route?
Each piece of tape signifies a starting hand. If there are two pieces of tape on the same hold, start matched on that hold. If there are two holds with one piece of tape each, start with one hand on each hold. No rodeo starts!

How do I finish a route?
You must match the top ledge with both hands and be in control for the climb to count. If the route is on the topout boulder, then you must top out unless there is a “finish hold”. A finish hold will be signified with two pieces of tape, and you must match the finish hold with both hands as advised above.
