What is a redpoint?
Climbing from the start to the finish in a single attempt.

How do I start a route?
Each piece of tape signifies a starting hand. If there are two pieces of tape on the same hold, start matched on that hold. If there are two holds with one piece of tape each, start with one hand on each hold. No rodeo starts!

How do I finish a route?
You must match the top ledge with both hands and be in control for the climb to count. If the route is on the topout boulder, then you must top out unless there is a “finish hold”. A finish hold will be signified with two pieces of tape, and you must match the finish hold with both hands as advised above.

Can I be bumped?
Yes, we reserve the right to bump you up into the next category if your score exceeds the average score of the category above you. We will not bump anyone down.
